Bobbie Roach is ZussArt.com

I have considered myself to be an artist since I was 4 years old with my big fat colorful crayons and gigantic coloring books. Entered my first Juried Art Show in the 80’s. I have been a successful artist being shown and selling both in the States and Internationally.

Drawing remains the fundamental language of my art. Art has many guises and meanings. As an observer you must keep looking and you will find different images at different viewings. I have my own language when I do my art. I find myself very narrative; if one keeps looking at my work you’ll find it to be very imaginative and subjectively illustrative. Learning to see and think in terms of color is crucial for me.

My sketchbooks of doodles are the place where my personal visual vocabulary begins. A private place for me where my drawings can mix freely with flights into the final piece. Most of my doodles form into color pictorials representations by building on unexpected connections. Many of my doodles will remain abstract, using my unconscious and unselfconscious. All I can say doodles for me is the place where natural links are made between observation and imagination.
